Culture

Why ‘Culture’?

Interested in exploring culture and enhancing your knowledge and understanding from a variety of disciplinary perspectives?

What do we mean by ‘culture’ and what can we learn about it from art, history, literature and film? What can it teach us about gender, race, politics, religion and identity?

Stretching from Roman times through the French Middle Ages to contemporary Africa; straddling the Middle East, Germany and everything in-between; sampling from Italian cinema and Russian literature - these modules present a truly global cultural perspective.

Some modules are taught in English while others are taught in the target language, so check the module details carefully.
