Why ‘Technology in Practice’?

Explore this sub-theme if you want to learn a new skill, get “hands-on” experience with technologies, or find out about a range of practical applications of technology.

This sub-theme is for you if you have a practical turn of mind and want to get to grips with the ways in which technology informs modern life. The ‘Technology in Practice’ sub-theme focusses on our interaction with and uses of technology. You can learn how to develop web pages, programme mobile apps, and improve your digital skills to enhance your studies. You can learn to use digital technologies to create and produce music, video, animation, digital photography, or gain an understanding of the importance of imaging in modern medicine. You can even learn to make wine and beer.
